Buying a good mattress protector is probably the best thing you can do to keep your mattress healthy. It’s more than simply adding an extra layer of comfort to your bed or something which is there for accidental spills or, in the case of children, bed wetting. A mattress protector is there to help promote healthy sleep, and prevent the mattress from being damaged.

Each night we lose the equivalent of a pint of water in perspiration, most of which is absorbed by the bed. A good mattress protector will cover the exposed surface of the mattress and prevent any fluid from seeping in. Are they easy to care for?

Yes, we recommend regularly machine washing up to a maximum of 60^oC. By washing at this temperature it will ensure any dust mites and allergens accumulated on the surface of the mattress protector are removed. For drying, we recommend either to tumble dry on the lowest setting with additional bed linens or line dry. As the waterproof membrane is built into the protector you can wash this as frequently as you like with no risk of removing its protective benefits.
